The irrational – and criminal – destruction of trains and buses and general state of anarchy in Bihar, UP, Telangana and other states needs to bear consequences. Along with firming up PDPPA, state governments must stop fiddling while taxpayers’ crores go up in flames. The anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act agitations in late 2019 caused losses of ₹80 crore in West Bengal alone.
