Ancient Indian texts, including Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, and various philosophical schools, contain a rich tradition of ethical thought and moral principles. These teachings, often encapsulated in concise verses like Subhashitams, emphasize virtues such as self-realization, service, duty, and societal well-being.
