Background
Overview
UPSC frequently examines government schemes aimed at poverty alleviation, rural development, and skill enhancement. DDU-GKY is a significant initiative addressing rural unemployment and promoting inclusive growth, making it relevant for questions on social justice, human resource development, and economic empowerment.
DDU-GKY is a flagship placement-linked skill development programme under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. It aims to transform rural poor youth into an economically independent and globally relevant workforce.
