IN-SPACe signifies a major policy shift towards liberalizing India's space sector, fostering innovation, and boosting the 'NewSpace' economy. It's crucial for understanding India's strategic goals in space, economic growth through technology, and public-private partnerships.
IN-SPACe is an autonomous single-window nodal agency under the Department of Space (DOS) established by the Government of India in 2020. Its primary mandate is to promote, enable, authorize, and supervise private sector activities in the Indian space sector, facilitating their participation across all space domains.
