Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a flagship housing scheme launched by the Government of India in 2015 to provide affordable housing to all eligible urban and rural beneficiaries. It aims to address housing shortages and promote home ownership, particularly among economically weaker sections (EWS) and low-income groups (LIG).
