Vision MAHASAGAR is a foundational element of India's maritime strategy and engagement with littoral states.
The SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) doctrine is India's strategic vision for the Indian Ocean Region, articulated in 2015. It emphasizes a proactive and cooperative approach to maritime security, economic development, and regional stability, viewing the IOR as a shared space for prosperity and inclusive growth.
