Domestic LPG price hiked by ₹29 per 14.2-kg cylinder

Domestic cooking gas (LPG) prices have been hiked by ₹29 per 14.2-kg cylinder, marking the second increase in three months. This rise, along with increases in petrol, diesel, and CNG prices, is attributed to elevated global energy costs and geopolitical conflicts in West Asia. State-owned fuel retailers are incurring significant losses by absorbing a portion of these costs to prevent a full pass-through to consumers, leading to a decline in LPG consumption.
