Amid protests, NTA aims overhaul, goes on recruitment drive

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is undergoing a major overhaul, including a recruitment drive for senior-level officials and young professionals, following recommendations from the Professor K. Radhakrishnan-led High-Level Committee of Experts. This restructuring comes amidst widespread protests against NEET paper leaks, which led to the sacking of 47 NTA officials and a tightening of laws to prevent such malpractices. The NTA aims to strengthen its academic, operational, cyber security, and investigative capabilities, leveraging the UPSC Pratibha Setu portal for recruitment and focusing on advanced assessment technologies like Computer-Adaptive Testing and AI-assisted assessments.
