NHRC, India’s two-week Online Short -Term Internship Programme begins

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India commenced its two-week Online Short-Term Internship Programme (OSTI) for university students. Inaugurated by NHRC Chairperson Justice V. Ramasubramanian, the program aims to sensitize youth about human rights, foster empathy, and highlight the global human rights situation, including armed conflicts and displacement. NHRC Member Justice (Dr.) Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi emphasized the fundamental right to life with dignity (Article 21). The online format enhances accessibility, and the program includes lectures, virtual tours of institutions like Tihar Prison, and various competitions.
