Shri Piyush Goyal Invites Indian and Uzbek Businesses to Co-invest and Co-manufacture; Calls for Doubling Bilateral Trade at India-Uzbekistan Business Forum

Union Minister Piyush Goyal invited Indian and Uzbek businesses to co-invest, co-manufacture, and co-innovate, aiming to double bilateral trade between India and Uzbekistan to USD 1.5 billion in the next three years. Addressing the India-Uzbekistan Business Forum, the Minister highlighted the strategic partnership and identified key sectors for collaboration, including mining, textiles, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, agriculture, food processing, information technology, digital economy, engineering, and automotive. The recently concluded Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) was also mentioned as a boost to investor confidence, and the importance of eliminating trade barriers and strengthening regulatory cooperation was emphasized.
