China abruptly postpones ambitious Chang'e-7 lunar mission launch

China has abruptly postponed its ambitious Chang'e-7 lunar mission, which aimed to explore the lunar south pole for water ice and conduct environmental and resource surveys. The China Manned Space Agency stated that the mission did not meet launch conditions and was postponed based on principles of prudence and reliability. This follows the successful Chang'e-6 mission, which achieved the world's first return of rock and soil samples from the far side of the moon.
