Ukraine's nuclear plant has lost power supply: IAEA

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported the situation, emphasizing the critical need for reliable external power and secure supply routes for nuclear safety. The power loss is attributed to military activity, and the IAEA is attempting to negotiate a local ceasefire for repairs. The plant, seized by Russia in March 2022, has had its six reactors shut down since 2022, but still requires power for cooling. Recent drone incidents at the plant have also raised safety concerns.
