ISRO successfully launches Earth observation satellite EOS-05
ISRO successfully launched the Earth observation satellite EOS-05 using the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. EOS-05 is India's first imaging satellite designed to monitor from Geosynchronous orbit (36,000 km above Earth). This mission marks a significant success for ISRO after previous launch failures, including the GSLV-F10/EOS-03 mission which EOS-05 replaces. The satellite, dubbed 'Eye in the Sky', will provide real-time imagery and aid sectors like agriculture, environment, and disaster management.
