Kerala HC finds video containing social activist’s remarks regarding Sabarimala deities offensive, directs Meta to temporarily block it
The Kerala High Court has directed Meta to temporarily remove a video containing remarks by social activist Sunny M. Kapikad regarding Sabarimala deities, finding the content offensive to religious beliefs. The petitioner, Rahul Easwar, also sought criminal charges against Kapikad under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and the Information Technology Act, 2000, for allegedly promoting disharmony and outraging religious feelings.
