Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a statutory process to evaluate the likely environmental, social, and economic impacts of a proposed project or development, ensuring sustainable decision-making. Cumulative Impact Assessment (CIA) extends this by considering the combined effects of multiple past, present, and reasonably foreseeable future actions.
