Background
Overview
UPSC frequently examines the role, contributions, and challenges faced by the Indian diaspora, their impact on India's foreign policy, and issues of social justice and human rights concerning them in host nations.
The Indian diaspora comprises people of Indian origin living outside India, forming a significant global community. While contributing substantially to host economies and maintaining cultural ties with India, they often face challenges such as identity crises, integration issues, and instances of racial or ethnic discrimination in their adopted countries.
