UPSC examines the complexities of peacebuilding, the role of international organizations in conflict resolution, and the challenges in implementing peace agreements, especially in regions affected by prolonged insurgencies, both domestically and internationally.
Peace processes refer to a series of negotiations, agreements, and confidence-building measures aimed at resolving armed conflicts and establishing lasting peace between warring parties, often involving state and non-state actors. Conflict resolution involves various methods, from mediation to disarmament, to address the root causes of conflict and prevent future violence.
